Decisions that stand up to scrutiny
Independent decision reviews and operating systems for institutions and science-based ventures.
When the next commitment matters, I test the evidence, identify the binding constraint and give you a clear written basis for the decision.
Start with one decision. In 2–3 weeks, receive an independent recommendation of what to continue, change, fund or stop.

The outcome is determined between the components.
Science, market, IP, regulation, capital, team and execution are usually assessed separately. But complex technology commercialisation rarely fails because one element was ignored. It fails because the elements were combined in the wrong way, addressed in the wrong order or allowed to work against each other.
I examine where these factors reinforce, constrain or cancel each other out, which one is limiting progress, and in what sequence and proportion they should be addressed. The result is a decision architecture for the strongest defensible path to commercial success.
QUATISE® is the proprietary research and methodology basis behind each engagement. You receive independent judgement – as a decision-ready written record, or as a framework to implement.
What has become too expensive to leave unresolved?
01 · ECOSYSTEM The next mandate, funding period or board review is approaching. You can show activity – but not yet which interventions are changing outcomes. I INVESTIGATE How programme design, venture selection, incentives, support and founder behaviour connect to the outcomes being claimed. YOU CAN DECIDE What to renew, redesign, scale or stop – and the evidence required to defend that decision.
02 · ECOSYSTEM The portfolio keeps consuming capital, but it is difficult to distinguish temporary friction from ventures whose route to market is structurally blocked. I INVESTIGATE How technical readiness, market demand, regulation, adoption, capital requirements, team capacity and timing constrain one another. YOU CAN DECIDE Where additional resources can change the outcome, what must be redesigned and where continued investment is unlikely to pay off.
03 · ECOSYSTEM You want the strongest ventures, but credible business builders bypass the programme – or take the funding without valuing the support. Competing offers look largely interchangeable. I INVESTIGATE How the proposition, selection model, incentives, expertise, funding and assumed scaling route influence who joins and what the programme actually changes. YOU CAN DECIDE A differentiated offer that stronger ventures choose for reasons beyond free support or grant access.
04 · ECOSYSTEM The evaluation is complete and the recommendation is on paper. But implementation stalls between organisations, decision owners and reporting cycles. I INVESTIGATE Which dependencies, decision rights, evidence gates and responsibilities must align for the recommendation to work in practice. YOU CAN DECIDE A sequence that existing teams can implement: who decides what, what happens next and what must become true before further commitment.
05 · VENTURE Customers are interested and pilots are running – but pilots are not becoming repeatable revenue. I INVESTIGATE How customer urgency, procurement, integration, pricing, regulation, delivery capacity and financing affect the route from interest to adoption. YOU CAN DECIDE What is preventing conversion, which evidence customers still need and whether the commercial model can scale.
06 · VENTURE Runway is shrinking. Another grant, programme, pilot, partnership or fundraising round could buy time – but it is unclear which move will actually change the business. I INVESTIGATE How each option affects commercial proof, capital requirements, control, timing and future constraints – not merely the next milestone. YOU CAN DECIDE The next move most likely to change the trajectory, plus the evidence needed before committing scarce time and capital.
07 · ECOSYSTEM Every expert is convincing within their own domain – technology, IP, regulation, sales, partnerships or finance – but their recommendations do not add up to one executable strategy. I INVESTIGATE The conflicts and dependencies between those recommendations, tested against the venture’s actual route to adoption and value. YOU CAN DECIDE One decision logic: what matters now, what can wait and which action unlocks the next commercially relevant proof.
Institutions
The problem
Policies, initiatives and programmes can meet their targets while the outcomes they were designed for remain out of reach.
What I do
I evaluate evidence, incentives and delivery structures, then translate the findings into policy advice, initiative design and practical implementation.
What you receive
From independent evaluations to repeatable systems for execution: clear decision criteria, evidence gates, responsibilities and review routines.
Ventures
The problem
The science is progressing, but product, customer adoption and funding are pulling in different directions. The next investment may solve the wrong constraint.
What I do
I identify what is holding the venture back and connect technical evidence, commercial choices and capital into a clear sequence of decisions.
What you receive
From independent evaluations to repeatable systems for execution: a prioritised route forward, evidence milestones, decision gates and review routines.
Independent expertise. A clear point of view.
